Rowsley Village Hall offers three spaces that are available to hire: the Main Hall, the W.I. Room and the Kitchen.
For certain events and activities a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) is required (from Derbyshire Dales District Council), including the sale of alcohol and for live music.
The Main Hall (12x7m) can accommodate up to 150 people standing or 100 seated.
To the far end is a stage which is ideal for pantomimes, plays and presentations, and there is a large ceiling-mounted projector for screening films.
Tables and chairs are included in the cost of the room hire, which can be set up as required. If the event requires catering you can also hire the well-equipped kitchen.
The Women’s Institute (W.I.) Room (8×4.5m) is ideal for smaller meetings and events.
This room can comfortably accommodate up to 25 people standing and 15 seated.
The room has its own access so can be booked even if the main hall is being used.
The well-equipped Kitchen (6×4.5m) includes preparation areas, a range cooker, along with a wide range of crockery and utensils.
Rowsley Village Hall management
The village hall is run as a community charity and is run by its users. Each regular user group supplies one or two members to the management committee, which meets four times a year.
The purpose of Rowsley Village Hall is to provide education, recreation and social activities for local residents.
It is managed entirely by volunteers who live or work in the local area.
